Asset Management¶
This documentation provides a detailed guide on how to manage all your digital assets within the Media Library.
Add new assets¶
To add new digital assets to your Media Library, you can either upload them from your computer or provide a URL. Click the Add new assets button to open a new menu, where you can choose your upload method.
The supported formats are:¶
- Images: JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, TIFF, ICO, DVU
- Videos: MPEG, MP4, MOV (Quicktime), WMV, AVI, FLV
- Audio: MP3, WAV, OGG
- Files: CSV, ZIP, PDF, XLS, XLSX, JSON
- 3D-Models: STEP, 3DS, FBX, GLB, GLTF, STL and more...
From Computer¶
Click Browse files and select the file from your computer. You can select and upload multiple files at once. Once all files are selected, click the Upload button to add them to your Media Library.
From URL¶
Copy the source URL of the asset you wish to upload. Paste the URL into the URL field and click Next. The asset will be added to your Media Library.
Edit an asset¶
To open the asset Details page, click the pencil icon in the upper right corner of any asset's thumbnail. In the asset Details page, you can edit information such as the File Name, Alternative Text, and Caption. You can also move the asset to a different folder by changing its Location.
Delete an asset¶
You can delete an asset from the asset Details page by clicking the Delete button.
CAUTION
Deleting an asset is a permanent action and cannot be undone.
Organize assets & folders¶
Keeping your Media Library organized is crucial for efficient content management. The VISHOW CMS provides tools to help you manage your assets and folders.
Add a new folder¶
Click the Add new folder button. A new menu will appear, where you can enter a Name for the new folder and define its location within your existing folder structure.
Manage assets & folders¶
You can perform actions on multiple assets and folders by selecting them from the main view.
Move¶
To move an asset or folder, first select it from the main view. You can select multiple assets & folders. Then, click the Move button that appears at the top of the Media Library. A menu will appear, allowing you to select a destination folder to move the asset(s) or folder(s) into.
